    RRB NTPC Graduate CBT 2 Exam Date 2026 Out

    The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the RRB NTPC Graduate Level CBT 2 Exam Date 2026. The Exam will be conducted on 10th July 2026 for candidates who qualified in the CBT 1 stage. The City Intimation Slip will be released on 1st July 2026 for candidates to check their allotted exam city details in advance.       Step 1: Visit the RRB Website

      RRB NTPC 2026 Selection Process

      The selection of candidates for the RRB NTPC Recruitment is a multi-stage process curated to shortlist the most eligible candidates for these posts. The stage-wise RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories selection process is explained below.

      Stage-I Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) 

      The first stage of the Railway NTPC selection process is the Computer-Based Test (CBT-1). This stage is common for all notified posts and assesses candidates on General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam carries a weightage of 100 marks.

      Stage-II Computer-Based Test (CBT 2)

      The second stage of the selection process is another Computer-Based Test (CBT-2), which further evaluates candidates' proficiency in General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam comprises 120 questions carrying 1 mark each.

      Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) & Typing Skill Test (TST)

      Candidates for posts such as Assistant Station Master (ASM) and Traffic Assistant are also required to undergo the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). For posts like Senior Clerk cum Typist and Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, a Typing Skill Test (TST) is conducted. Both these exams are merely qualifying in nature.

      Document Verification (DV)

      Candidates who qualify based on their performance in the Stage-II CBT and CBAT/TST will be called for Document Verification (DV). This stage involves verifying the authenticity of candidates' educational certificates, identity proofs, and other relevant documents to assess their eligibility for this post.

      Medical Examination

      The final stage of the RRB NTPC Recruitment process is the Medical Examination, where candidates' fitness levels are assessed to ensure they are capable of performing the duties required by the position.       RRB NTPC Syllabus 

      Candidates preparing for the exam must plan their preparation strategy according to the latest RRB NTPC Syllabus. This will help candidates strategize their preparation effectively.       RRB NTPC Marks Normalization 

      RRB Normalization is a process done by RRB to normalize the raw marks scored by candidates in different sessions of the exam. Since the difficulty level of questions asked in different sessions can be different, normalization is done to remove any advantage or disadvantage to candidates due to differences in question papers across sessions.

      Through this process, the relative merit of all candidates is judged equitably despite variability in session papers. Normalization of marks enables a uniform scale to evaluate candidates across Non-Technical Popular Categories exam sessions. Check the RRB normalization formula below:

      RRB NTPC Salary

      The salary of posts under the NTPC exam is calculated as per the 7th CPC pay matrix and will vary for different posts. The RRB NTPC Salary for posts like Junior Clerk Cum Typist is in the range of Rs. 19,900 – Rs 63,200/-. For Level 3 posts like Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk the salary range is Rs 21,700 – Rs 69,100. Graduate-level posts offer salaries ranging from Rs 25,500 – Rs 81,100 for level 4 posts to Rs 44,900- Rs 1,42,400 for level 6 posts like Station Masters as per the 7th CPC pay matrix. In addition to basic pay, candidates will also be eligible for allowances like DA & HRA and perks like PF, pension, etc. 

      RRB NTPC Answer Key

      The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will release the official answer keys for the Non-Technical Popular Categories Undergraduate Exam after the completion of each stage of the selection process. Candidates will be able to access the answer keys on the official websites of the respective RRBs. The RRB NTPC Answer Key will display the correct responses to the questions asked in the computer-based test (CBT) for both the first and second stages of the exam.

      RRB NTPC Cut Off

      The Railway Recruitment Board has released cut-off marks for both CBT 1 and CBT 2 separately for various categories and for different zones. The RRB NTPC Cut-Off will vary according to factors like number of vacancies, the difficulty level of exam, etc. Going by previous year trends, the expected cutoff for GR is around 70-80 marks out of 100 for CBT 1.
